Hornbeck Offshore Services (HOS) is being sued by Gulf Island Shipyards after the OSV owner terminated two shipyard construction contracts citing performance issues.
Gulf Island filed a lawsuit on 2 October, alleging delay, hindrance, disruption and wrongful termination of the construction contracts against the offshore vessel owner.
The contracts pertain to the two remaining multipurpose support vessels (MPSVs) under HOS's nearly completed, 24-vessel domestic newbuild programme.
