Rates for platform supply vessels (PSVs) operating from Norway surged on Monday due to a shortage of vessels.
Ostensjo Rederi's 4,000-dwt Edda Frende (built 2009) was fixed for four firm days plus 10 days of options by Hess at NOK 150,000 ($19,500) per day.
This compared to £6,000 ($8,500) in the UK and NOK 85,000 from Norway last week.
