A seismic survey vessel has been robbed in Guyana.
A duty officer doing his rounds on the unnamed ship at the port of Georgetown spotted a boat alongside and raised the alarm, according to the IMB's piracy reporting centre.
Five thieves were seen escaping with ship's property after the crew was alerted.
Robberies have been on the up in recent weeks, particularly in Indonesia and the Philippines.
