Shearwater GeoServices and Shell have torn up a ship charter after the oil major was prevented from carrying out a seismic survey in South Africa.
The Norwegian shipowner told TradeWinds the 126-loa Amazon Warrior (built 2014) is in transit back to Las Palmas in the Canary Islands following a court ruling in the African country.
A spokesperson for Shearwater said the charter for the ship had been terminated on "mutually agreed terms".
