DFDS has become the latest shipowner to put serious money into scrubber technology to meet IMO rules on emissions entering into force in 2020.
Following big deals on exhaust cleaning systems by Star Bulk and Safe Bulkers in recent days, the Danish company said it will spend DKK 300m ($46.56m) next year fitting the systems to 12 freight ro-ros.
These ply routes between Turkey, Italy, Greece and France.
