Ali Shehab, one of the most respected names in Middle Eastern tanker shipping, has joined DNV as its global director of special projects and services
Shehab, who retired as acting chief executive of Kuwait Oil Tanker Co (KOTC) in January, began on Thursday in the newly Dubai-based created role aimed at improving collaboration between industry stakeholders.
DNV, the Norwegian classification society, said the appointment would help strengthen its presence in the region.
