Three people have reportedly been arrested in the hijacking of a bunkering tanker off Indonesia in August.

The suspected pirates arrested by the navy’s Western Fleet (Armabar) allegedly stole light crude oil from the 3,500-dwt Joaquim (built 1995) while it was in the Malacca Strait, according to the Jakarta Post.

They were identified only as HU, AS and AG.

Armabar alleges the hijacking’s masterminds were a woman identified as E and a military deserter identified as A.
