Vietnamese yard Ben Thuy Shipbuilding has booked a domestic containership order in a depressed market for yards.
The VNS news agency said it signed a contract to build two ships of 3,000 gt for Hiep Phuoc Transport Co.
No other details were revealed.
According to Clarksons, the yard delivered a tug last year, but no cargo vessels since 2011.
The ships are thought to be the first for Hiep Phuoc.
