A chapter 11 filing by a US guitar maker whose instruments were favoured by David Bowie and Chuck Berry has created an uncomfortable backing track for a UK shipbroker in the past week.
Gibson Brands sought court protection in the US at the start of May, sparking rumours in the shipping market surrounding possible office closures and staff departures at London-headquartered Gibson Shipbrokers.
