Nicolas Busch and Gary Brockelsby’s Navig8 Chemical Tankers has turned to Hyundai Mipo Dockyard for a series of newbuildings to replace ships lost in the collapse of STX.
Broking sources say the owner has firmed up a letter of intent with the South Korean yard for two firm 49,000-dwt tankers.
Up to six options are also said to be included in the series, although some brokers suggest a smaller number of options are part of the package.
