The chairman of crisis-hit Croatian yard group Uljanik has resigned as its losses mount.

Gianni Rossanda has left as the rest of the management board tries to come up with a new rescue plan, following a series of vessel cancellations and strikes in recent weeks.

The yard group also said its bank account had been frozen again on Wednesday.

The country's economy minister Darko Horvat said management would submit a new restructuring plan within 10 days.
