Business operations for Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co (DSIC) are to continue as normal as Chinese authorities scramble to control the spread of a local cluster of coronavirus infections.
But two other state-owned shipyards — Dalian Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Offshore (DISC Offshore) and Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry Dalian (Cosco Dalian) — have stopped operations.
The closures come as Dalian, a north-eastern port city in Liaoning province, reported a rash of fresh Covid-19 cases last week.
