The Connecticut-based pool manager on Monday announced the formation of Heidmar Asset Management, which will be led by Nicholas Petrakakos and industry veteran Peter Swift.
Chief executive Marc La Monte tells TradeWinds the new offshoot will focus on technical management and offer financial reporting services for shipowners across a variety of sectors.
Previously, Heidmar specialised in the commercial management of crude and product tankers that trade in one of its five distinctive pools.
