Russia has played down suggestions of an early end to its ban on motor fuel exports.
The government introduced an export ban for diesel and gasoline last week to all but four former Soviet states, to bring down domestic fuel prices.
“I will say one thing: expectations of a quick lifting of the fuel export ban are futile,” said Russian energy minister Nikolai Shulginov, according to Tass news agency, cited by Reuters.
