Singapore’s Eastern Pacific Shipping has splashed out around $252m for six resale MR tanker newbuilding slots as the sector powers ahead.
The Idan Ofer-controlled company is said to have struck a deal with New Times Shipbuilding in China for four firm 50,000-dwt vessels, plus an option for two additional ships.
Eastern Pacific is believed to be paying around $42m per vessel.
