Japan is set to receive a cargo of crude oil from the Sakhalin-2 project in Russia’s Far East for the first time since May, according to cargo tracking data.

Data provider Kpler indicated that the 107,000-dwt Zaliv Baikal (built 2009) is due to arrive at the Japanese port of Kikuma on 3 January. It left Russia’s Sakhalin Island, north of Japan, on 26 December.
