K Line has confirmed orders for three VLCCs and two aframax tanker newbuildings as part of its fleet renewal effort.
Kawasaki Heavy Industries has secured orders for two of the VLCCs while the third has been contracted at Namura Shipbuilding.
The Kawasaki ships will be built at its Chinese joint venture Nantong Cosco KHI Ship Engineering Co for delivery in 2017 and 2018.
