Maersk Tankers has experienced an influx of tonnage into its pools since mid 2016 helped by digital developments and a weaker market.
Christian M. Ingerslev, who took over as chief executive of the AP Moller-Maersk division on Tuesday, says 11 separate owners have placed a total of 19 extra vessels into the company’s commercial management platform in recent months.
In his first interview since being promoted from chief commercial officer at the company, he explains the gains have come across its four pools.
