Morgan Stanley has shrugged off concerns the VLCC cycle may be over after a sharp drop in spot earnings during the past week.
But analyst Fotis Giannakoulis notes that towards the start of 2017 the outlook becomes uncertain for the first time in a couple of years.
VLCC rates out of the Middle East crashed by 55% last week, with tanker equities dropping by one tenth.
