Great Eastern Shipping has been stymied in its efforts to grow the fleet by illogical tanker prices, its boss has revealed.

Asset levels have been buoyant in 2021 despite poor crude and product vessel markets.

Speaking on a conference call with analysts, the Mumbai-listed company's managing director Bharat Sheth said: "It's quite puzzling that tanker prices have also gone up since the beginning of this year, despite having such weak freight rates.
