John Fredriksen's US-listed shipowner SFL Corp is to compensate sister company Frontline after selling its oldest VLCC.
TradeWinds had earlier revealed the disposal of the 300,000-dwt Front Hakata (built 2002) for a reported $31.5m.
SFL confirmed on Wednesday it had sold and delivered the vessel to an unrelated third party.
