Norway’s Stolt-Nielsen has denied that one of its chemical tankers, which was badly damaged in a dramatic explosion in South Korea, has been written off and its next voyage will be to the demolition yard.
The 43,478-dwt Stolt Groenland’s hull was ripped apart in an explosion at the port of Ulsan in September last year when its cargo of styrene monomer overheated.
