A dispute involving a charter to Shell has led to a suezmax tanker that had been idling under arrest off Durban for the past two years coming up for auction for the second time.

South African firm Solution Strategists will conduct a live electronic auction of the 156,700-dwt Advantage Sky (built 2010) on 6 August.

The Kwazulu-Natal Division of the High Court of South Africa has ordered the ship be sold without a time charter attached to Shell, a factor that ultimately led to the collapse of a sale that was lined up when it first went under the hammer in April.
