Teekay Offshore Partners plans to add two shuttle tankers as it seeks to keep its edge over rival Knutsen in that vessel segment.
Teekay declared options with Samsung Heavy Industries for two suezmax DP2 shuttle tanker newbuildings at a total cost of approximately $265m.
The newbuildings will be designed to with technologies aimed to increase fuel efficiency and reduce emissions, including LNG propulsion technology.
