Peter Sand, Bimco’s shipping analyst, says 27 VLCCs are in the book for delivery in 2015 to follow the maximum number of 25 arriving this year. That number of new VLs rises to 49 on paper in 2016.
“A window of opportunity is clearly opening up here for the fundamental balance to improve in 2015, assuming demand remains decent,” Sand said in his latest tanker report.
