Mitsui OSK Lines believes a vessel’s operational profile is likely to determine what type of fuel it will use in the future — size will not be the determining factor.
“The most important thing when it comes to alternative fuels as of today is not the size, but where the vessel will be operated,” MOL chief executive Takeshi Hashimoto said.
