Aegean Baltic Bank (ABB) is eyeing expansion after its Greek shareholders gained full control of its capital.

Germany’s HSH Nordbank has sold its final 15% stake to managing director Theodore Afthonides.

Afthonides confirms ABB, which is headquartered in the northern suburbs of Athens, will also open a Piraeus branch office on the well-known Akti Miaouli.

“ABB is reinforcing its position in Greek shipping and is open for business,” Afthonides said.
