John Fredriksen is expanding his empire out east and opening an office in Singapore to further activities for his tanker arm Frontline and LNG outfit Golar LNG.
Frontline vice-president and Golar chief executive Tor Olav Troim confirms the move. Troim told TradeWinds: "We are looking at establishing some stronger foothold in the Asia region."
He says the office will concentrate on commercial activity and sale-and-purchase (S&P) business for both Frontline and Golar.
