After all the brouhaha at TradeWinds’s Ship Recycling Forum in Dubai over the ethics of beaching scrap vessels, delegates took little persuading to join cash buyer Tahir Lakhani on his yacht, the MY Marina.
While others of a more active disposition headed for a morning’s racing at the Dubai Autodrome at the invitation of another big cash buyer, Anil Sharma of Global Marketing Systems, TradeWinds took the more laid-back approach, joining Dubai Trading Agency (DTA) boss Lakhani and his son, Ali, on the yacht, berthed in Port Rashid.
