The 50,000-dwt Miss Lucy (built 2008) has been taken initially for six months at $15,000 per day, with options at a slightly higher rate.
The vessel has been on charter to Koch at $14,000 per day for the past year.
This is the first time for many years that a Fredriksen company is said to have chartered in a products tanker.
