The broker suggests that even a slight deterioration in claims may mean last month’s renewal — no club sought a general increase and the majority returned funds — may turn out to be unique.
The broker’s newsletter, “P&I Confidential”, describes the 2017 renewal as “not so much the perfect storm, but rather the perfect calm”.
“While we do not anticipate particularly bad news for owners, the next renewal may prove to be a little less attractive than the one we have just seen,” Gallagher warned in the newsletter.
