Members of the new steering group set up to revise the code governing the construction of LNG and LPG carriers are due to get together for their inaugural meeting in London today.

Nearly all of the 15 members are expected to attend a meeting at the Baltic Exchange, where they will decide on how best to tackle the planned revision of what is officially called The International Code for the Construction and Equipment of Ships Carrying Liquefied Gases in Bulk but more commonly referred to as the IGC Code.
