The company’s revenue increased 24% in the first eight months of this year to NOK 10.753bn ($1.266bn) compared with 2013, while the pre-tax profit was up a full 62%.

Jotun had a pre-tax profit of NOK 1.543bn ($181.78m) in the latest eight-month period.

Managing director Morten Fon says that although fewer ships are being ordered, the construction and completion of vessels is moving forward.
