A cook has died in a fall from an MSC boxship in the Canary Islands.
Indian national MB Ashok, 59, was disposing of rubbish on the deck of the 5,711-teu MSC Dymphna (built 2006) at the time, La Provincia reported.
He hit the side and fell unconscious into the water.
Colleagues jumped in to try to save him.
The vessel had arrived at Las Palmas from Valencia.
