Saudi Arabian owner Kanoo Shipping has struck a deal to acquire ship manager Wallem's South African agency operations.
Wallem South Africa provides maritime services in Durban and Cape Town.
The company has become Kanoo Africa.
Kanoo is already a ship agency player and also has crew boats and a ferry.
The deal gives it access to all South African ports as well as clients in Mozambique, Namibia and other destinations in the southern parts of the Indian Ocean.
