The giant shipbuilder today hosted the naming of the 19,000-teu CSCL Globe, the first of five mammoth vessels inked by China Shipping Container Lines.
He Li Jun, the wife of China Shipping chairman Xu Li Rong, sent the champagne crashing into the 400 meter long hull to mark the occasion.
CSCL will deploy the vessel, which will succeed the Maersk Line triple-e series as the largest trading boxship, on the Asia-Europe route when it is formally handed over next month.
