MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is slashing transit times for cargo shipped from continental Europe to US east coast ports.
Starting in March, the liner giant's new MedUSEC service is set to reach New York from the major transshipment hub of Sines, Portugal, in seven days due to service improvements.
The Swiss company said the upgrades will cut up to four days in reaching ports such as Baltimore, Norfolk, Savannah and Charleston.
