BHP’s iron ore shipments improved by 11% in the second quarter of 2020 against the weather-impacted first quarter, figures from the mining giant show.
The Australian company shipped a total of 77m tonnes between April and June this year in what was a year-on-year improvement of 6%.
The record June quarter took total iron ore shipments in the Australian financial year ending 30 June to 283m tonnes, versus the 270m tonnes in the prior fiscal year.
