Mitsubishi Ore Transport has agreed to charter a post-panamax bulk carrier newbuilding to mining giant Rio Tinto for five years.
According to the Japan Maritime Daily, the deal involves an 87,000-dwt bulker due for delivery from Oshima Shipyard in March next year.
The ship will transport bauxite between Queensland, Australia, and China for Rio Tinto.
