Hamburg-based owner Ernst Russ is boosting its profitability by taking a majority ownership stake in a fleet of 12 feeder container ships.
The firm said it was building its stake by a further 10% in an unnamed holding company.
This means it will indirectly acquire a majority interest of 55% in the feeder portfolio, in which it previously had a minority equity interest.
