Greek interests that spent about $10m to acquire a boxship earlier this year, are looking to more than double their money by flipping the vessel after just five months.

The undisclosed parties have owned the 6,350-teu MOL Partner (renamed Partner Star, built 2005) since early July, when markets were in the doldrums. They reportedly spent just $9.6m to buy the ship — little more than its scrap value.

Clarksons is now reporting the vessel as sold to Taiwanese liner Wan Hai Lines for $24.5m.
