Carnival Corp has bolstered its effort to improve its environmental track record, having devoted another new role and small team to that goal.
The US cruise major has appointed Sandra Rowlett, a former US federal safety investigator, as vice president of an incident analysis group focused on health, environment, safety and security (HESS).
She will also work to implement new global investigation procedures, investigator training and certification and root-cause analysis aimed at improving compliance, the company said in a news release.
