An impressive entry of ten images for our Maritime Photographer of the Year contest has come from Tom Jacob, managing partner of Flensburg based shipowners and managers, Ernst Jacob.
He took the striking image of a whale tailfin against an unidentified vessel on the horizon some two miles off Cape Town with a Canon EOS 5D, but he also took a Canon EOS 30D on this photographically rewarding trip.
