The company told the Korea Stock Exchange that a Liberian owner would take delivery of the vessel in October 2016.
The price compares favourably to the $53.2m Cosco paid in China last month for each of four 180,000-dwt vessels.
The deal brings Hanjin's new business this year to KRW 2.53bn.
