Diana Shipping has secured a $2m price reduction on a pair of Newcastlemax bulker newbuildings as they near completion in China.
New York-listed Diana says the initial cost of $48.7m on each of the 208,500-dwt bulkers has been trimmed by $1m as their deliveries were pushed over into the New Year.
When Diana first contracted the bulkers at Jiangnan Shipyard in May 2013, they were set to be handed over in the middle of 2016.
