Duncan Dunn has been elected chairman for the Baltic Exchange Council filling the seat to be vacated by Lambros Varnavides.
SSY Futures senior director Dunn has previously served as deputy to Varnavides and has been a Baltic director since 2009.
Mark Jackson, chief executive of the Baltic Exchange, said: "Duncan Dunn has been an energetic member of the Baltic Board for a number of years; is highly experienced in the freight derivatives market; and has an intimate understanding of the needs of the broad Baltic Exchange membership.
