A Ukrainian captain has died on a general cargoship detained in Romania since January.
Local media said 62-year-old Yuriy Tsaruk suffered heart failure on the 3,400-dwt Geo Star (built 1980) at Constanta on Tuesday.
Medics attempted to resuscitate him for 45 minutes.
There are 11 other seafarers on board.
The vessel was reportedly held after a port state control check on 31 January with Maritime Labor Convention (MLC) deficiencies.
