Ezra company Emas Offshore has seen charters for two of its vessels cut short.

The Singaporean owner says the 4,700-dwt Lewek Toucan (built 2008) and the 10,800-BHP Lewek Pelican (built 2007) have seen their contracts terminated.

In a statement to investors, Emas said the charterer was required to pay the remaining sums on the contracts plus damages.

Emas has been working on a restructuring deal but warned earlier this month the documentation would not be completed by the end of the fiscal second quarter as previous expected.
