Maritime London has called on the UK government to continue to recognise the interests of the domestic shipping sector.
Lord Mountevans, chairman of Maritime London and Clarksons shipbroker, was reacting to last week’s election that saw the ruling Conservative party unexpectedly lose its overall majority.
The former Lord Mayor of the City of London said: “Following the result of the general election, Maritime London asks that stability be given the highest priority by the new government and, indeed, the new parliament.
