Nordic banking giant Nordea’s total gross loans to shipping fell 15% last year, it revealed on Monday.
The Nordic bank’s lending to the sector was €4.7bn ($5.1bn) at the end of 2023 compared with €5.5bn at the end of 2022.
According to the Helsinki-based bank’s report for the fourth quarter, the carrying amount of shipping loans in Norway was €4.3bn.
